Choosing a jewel for someone else can be tricky, but is always a precious and thoughtful idea. To make sure you are going in the right direction, knowing or finding out those followings elements can be really helpful.

1. What gold color are they usually wearing (yellow, white or rose) ?

Some people like to mix and match, some don't.

If they only wear one specific gold color, the best is to go for that color. 

If sometimes they mix and match, you can do to : Yellow gold goes really well with White gold. Rose gold can match with yellow gold as long as the rose gold's tone is a bit warm.

2. What will they wear your gift with ?

If you are offerring them a necklace, and they already wear another necklace everyday, chances are they will try and wear both necklaces together from time to time.

In this case, it is ideal to find a necklace that can match their existing jewels well, in terms of color, of length, ... etc.

3. What colors do they like ?

Here at MARIE LICHTENBERG we believe in stacking. The more the merrier, and we apply it to our necklaces.

To explore all the stacking possibilities, with your ML necklaces and pendants and even personal ones, most of our chains and cords are available in multiple lengths.

Our scapulars automatically come on gold chains and the length depends on the size of the scapular.

Our lockets and baby lockets also come on short gold chains, either 37cm or 42cm.

Our pendants mostly come without chains, but can be worn with every chain we have thanks to the handcuff closing clasps at both ends of the chains and cords.

Short lengths such as 37cm or 42cm are for those who wish to wear their pendant high on their neck, those lengths are ideals for lockets and baby lockets. It works wonders with high necklines !

The medium length, 50cm, is perfect for scapulars, and pendants and charms.

The long length, 73cm, can be worn with everything, either as a “sautoir” or wrapped in a double loop to wear your locket high on the neck and showcase your chain even more.

The stacking is easier to arrange with different lengths necklaces, but sometimes, wearing two pieces at the same “level” can look amazing too !
