Since 2023, Marie Lichtenberg has been collaborating with Mattel around one of America’s most iconic pop culture objects: the Magic 8 Ball. After the success of the Magic 8 Ball™ pendants – which received the “Best in Innovative” award at the Las Vegas Couture Show in 2023 – the creative partnership continues with a bold new piece: the Silver Magic 8 Ball.
This precious reinterpretation is a fully functional, solid silver object of art that preserves the playful spirit of the original. Invented in the 1950s by Albert C. Carter and later popularized by Mattel, the Magic 8 Ball™ quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Shake it, turn it, and your answer appears—just like the classic toy. Faithful to its original dimensions (10 cm in diameter), the ML edition bears a subtle “© 2025 Mattel” marking inside as a nod to its authentic heritage.

To preserve their beauty in the long run, we do not recommend showering or swimming with your MARIE LICHTENBERG pieces.
Should it happen, rarely, make sure to carefully rinse them with clear water afterwards.
